Fingerprint, face or iris

When you first log into the NHS Wales App you will use your login email and password and will receive a security code. You can continue using NHS login in this way or you can change the way you login using biometrics.

Setting up biometrics in the NHS Wales App

To set up biometrics in the App:

  1. Go to More.
  2. Select Account and settings.
  3. For Android select Fingerprint, face or iris, or for Apple select Touch ID or Face ID.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions.

The next time you log in, you'll be asked to touch the fingerprint sensor or look at the device instead of entering your email, password and security code.

Help with biometrics

If you're using an Android device and your fingerprint, face or iris is not recognised, try logging in with a different type of biometrics, if your device supports it. For example, try logging in using your fingerprint if your face is not recognised.

If you cannot use biometrics, log in using your email, password and security code instead.
